We need a REAL Scarface re-make.

Yes Pacino played a memorable roll in the 80's rendition of Scarface. He sure did seem to make a mark on every single A and B-List Celebrity on Mtv's Cribs, but Pacino did absolutely NO justice to the original character of Tony Camante played by Paul Muni.

The film Scarface: The Shame of a Nation should be remade to replace the sorry 80's remake not worthy of holding the same title. This would be A perfect project, after Grindhouse, for Roderiguez & Tarantino to team up on. Roderiguez's amazing scenes of creative gunplay and violence teamed up with amazing writing styles and insane mind of Tarantino could make the darkest, most breathtaking old 30's rendition a film success.

The 80's rendition was a huge fictitious character living a life of nothing but fantasy, but The 1932 Scarface was based off of real live events and the real character of Al Capone during his bootlegging reign of the early thirties prohibition. If only this project could actually happen...Who would play Tony?

The true Gangster "Tony Camante"

A common nostalgia.

I have a thing for commercials.

Commercials seem to bring out the best in me. Either the companies have hired excellent advertising firms with a knack for drawing emotions from their viewers. Or I just have a weakness for them.

This morning before leaving for school I happened to look up from my bowl of cereal and see a very well shot commercial. It involved a slow-motion image of a young boy catching a frog. He continued to play with it, and hold it as if it were his tiny frog friend.

It brought back memories for me. Memories of a worry free childhood. When the world felt so vast; When there was so much to explore and discover. These feeling are ones, that are for the most part, lacking in my life as an adult. There may be a few moments when i am astonished by something new i learned or discovered, but it doesn't hold the same value or feeling it once did as a child, and it most certainty doesn't happen as often.

Today the world seems so much smaller. As if all the dreams and desires we had as children become thoughts of improbable ideas. I know everything thats necessary for me get by today, and i sometimes think that's all i need.

Maybe this is why lately my mind has been calling-for something new.

I want to get in touch with my culture and learn Spanish.
I want to take up Spanish guitar.
I want to better myself as a painter.
I want to better my skills as a Graphic Designer.
I want my ideas to be heard and hopefully influence others.
I want to change the world.
I want to be remembered.
overall: I want to better myself as a person.

What is true Genius?

There are amazingly genius people in this world. ground breaking revolutionary ideas flow from the minds of these people, but then there are those people that THINK they are genius, yet they lack the very one component that makes a genius stand out from the highly intelligent.

True genius is the ability to think and execute brilliant and original ideas.

Experts and the pseudo-genius are limited to the teachings embedded in their brains. Yes, they might know a vast amount of information on a certain subject, but their minds are confined to a box set before them through teachings. A monkey can store information and later use it in everyday life. Only a genius can change a world that already seems to be reaching it's limit.
