Get Away

Some friends and I have been planning a trip to L.A for next weekend. If all goes well we should be leaving the 20th, and returning the 23rd.

It will be a good opportunity to get out of all these familiar surroundings and explore something new.

I also got a new camera I'm hoping will capture some good memories.

It has been a while since my last update so i feel I need to get this out before the opportunity slips my mind.

It seems that the same emotions that drive musicians to write their music.
Also drives us, their audience, to connect and listen to it.

these two emotions are love and sorrow.

Now these two emotions are some that have not been as firmly present as they were in the past few months so i have not passionately connected with any particular songs lately.

But two songs that have captured my attention are:

Well guys it's pretty close to my birthday and I have three songs to add to my "Life Soundtrack".

These are songs that have flooded my ears for the past week and really mean something to me.

Most of you have heard them, but dig deep into your library and pull them back out. if you're feeling anything like I have lately. You will enjoy them just as much.

Understanding My Life: Life Soundtrack Vol.1

bout Every week or so I seem to find a song(s) that I listen to over and over again.

Not for the simple fact of liking the melody, or anything of that matter.

but the song(s) seems to fit my life and the way i feel at that moment.

Obsessively listening to these songs usually lasts no longer than a few weeks.

Yet the song seems so important to me, Telling the story of my life as it's happening now-- in a nutshell.

So i decided to start a time line and post what song that is for me as they come. Hopefully it could help you understand a little more of who I am.

Or if nothing else just provide you with some good music.

I anxiously awaited this film with the highest of expectations. Maybe too high of expectations- so high I started to worry myself. Other films i awaited with similar expectations seemed to let me down.

They would be good films, but after the ending credits started rolling I would be left hoping for more.

I read countless read reviews from critics who were blown away one after another. I couldn't help but think another masterpiece graphic novel , in the likes of Sin City, turned blockbuster from the mind of Frank Miller.

With no question this movie more than met my expectations, as a matter of fact, it blew me away! If you're into action, war, or just epically good films this one is also one to see. As a matter of fact. See this one and Black Snake Moan the same night...it could change your life.

The creative film I've been dying to see all year.

I don't even know what to say about this film. It's southern roots story line, and 70's style of film makes it stand out from the crowd.It Almost felt like a Pulp Fiction-esque tale similar to that of stories told by Quentin Tarantino.

Very subtlety it grabs your attention from the very beginning and drags you through the lives of two very different characters. The clash between the two personalities, and the music sequences with Samuel L. Jackson make this movie a favorite in my books. Its one of the few movies I've seen that get an applause even after the fanboy filled Friday opening.
